1.5.4 Intended use

Some lifting equipment (e.g. lifting beams) can be used in a variety of ways. It is, therefore, important that information on the specific intended use, including potential misuse, should be indicated to the manufacturer/ supplier in such cases and the advice of a Competent Person sought before any change of use is authorised.
