16.9.3 Maintenance

Routine preventive maintenance should be carried out according to the manufacturer’s instructions in addition to any requirements of the particular site due to the conditions of service. In general, there is little that can be done in terms of maintenance to the webbing component of the sling other than ensuring that they are cleaned and free from contaminants that can cause damage and deterioration.
