1.A4.3 OTHER LIFTING POINTS

As with dedicated supporting structures, a theoretical check should be conducted by a suitably qualified person and written confirmation obtained and kept with the lifting equipment records.

The connection between the lifting appliance and the structure should be properly designed for lifting purposes, tested and certified, e.g. a beam clamp (see SECTION 9 - BEAM CLAMPSsection of this code). All such connections should be subject to periodic thorough examination at the appropriate intervals.
