1.2 SCOPE

The contents of this section comprise the GENERAL REQUIREMENTS common to most items of lifting equipment. Separate sections of the code each deal with a particular item of equipment. For any particular item therefore, the specific section dealing with that equipment should be read in conjunction with these general requirements.

The information given in all sections of the code reflects current industry best practices.
