26.7.2 Statutory and Post Installation Thorough Examination

As a lifting accessory Magnetic lifters must be thoroughly examined, as recommended by this code, at intervals not exceeding six months. In certain applications it may also be necessary to have the installation thoroughly examined by a Competent Person before the magnetic lifter is put into service. This may be necessary to ensure that the operation of the lifter in practice complies with theoretical predictions. (see section 26.8 INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING)
