24.7.2 Statutory and Post Installation Thorough Examination

Barrel lifters must be examined by a Competent Person at intervals not exceeding six months. For some applications, it may also be necessary to have the installation thoroughly examined by a Competent Person before the barrel lifter is put into service. This may be necessary to ensure that the operation of the lifter in practice complies with theoretical predictions (see section 24.8 INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING and section 1.4 GENERAL LEGAL REQUIREMENTS)
