13.5.8 Jacking Points

Some items will be provided with purpose made jacking points and where this is the case, they should always be used. In other cases, the load must be carefully assessed and suitable jacking points selected. Care must be taken to ensure the jacking points selected are capable of taking the full load that will be imposed on them and that their use will not damage or deform the load. The flexibility of the load must also form part of the considerations in selecting jacking points.
