    15.3.4 Soft Eye

    A soft eye is an eye formed at the end of a sling leg comprising a loop made in the wire rope which is then secured by either a ferrule or by hand splicing, having no protective attachments, i.e. thimbles. (See Figure 15.3.5-1 )
