21.11 TRAINING
In addition to the training requirements specified in section 1.10 TRAINING of the code, operative training should take the manufacturer’s instructions into account, paying particular attention to the following:
Operatives and drivers should be informed of the specific uses for which the lifting beam is intended. They should be shown the correct method of attaching the lifting beam or to the crane hook and the correct method of attaching the load to the lifting beams.
In the case of beams which are dismantled for transportation and storage, operatives should be shown the correct method of assembling the lifting beam.
