22.8.2 Storage and Handling

When not in use, plate clamps should be returned to proper storage. The general requirements are as in section 1.7.2 Storage and Handling of this code, i.e. the storage area should be dry, free from injurious pollution and extremes of temperature, together with the following:

  1. Plate clamps normally used in pairs should be kept together along with any accessories such as shackles or chains.

  2. When being handled, plate clamps should not be dropped or thrown down.
