5.5.4 People carrying Applications - Special Requirements

If the machine is to be used for a people carrying application, reference should be made to the manufacturer for additional safety requirements, e.g. the installation of descent arrestors. As an alternative to adapting a standard lifting and pulling machine for people carrying, the manufacturer may be able to offer a machine purpose designed for such work.
