20.A1.1 Grade and Material

There are no standards for eye nuts or bow nuts for lifting purposes. Their main use is in pipe hanging and rigging applications and as a result they are usually produced in lower grade material. They are also produced in other grades to the manufacturers commercial specifications. When the grade is uncertain, the user must therefore assume mild steel.
