8.4.2 Operation

Trolleys are available with a choice of hand push or gear operation. A hand pushed trolley is usually moved by pushing the suspended load. (See Figure 8.4.2-1 ) It is however possible to move the trolley by means of a winch or other pulling machine. A geared trolley is provided with geared driving wheels, which are rotated by pulling downwards on a hand chain driving an intermediate gear. (See Figure 8.3.4-1 )
