8.4.1 Suspension Arrangements

The plain trolley is fitted with a device in the form of a load bar, hook, or eye from which a lifting appliance may be suspended by its head fitting. Other trolleys are designed to have the lifting appliance permanently attached, these are known as ‘combined’ or ‘built in’ trolleys. (See Figure 8.4.1-1 )
